Lee Jae will deliver a lecture on "Modern Architecture" as part of the 2016 Spring Lecture Series at Paichai University, focusing on the evolution and significance of the Modern Movement in architecture.The lecture, held at Room 401 of the International Exchange Center at Paichai University, will span two hours, offering an in-depth exploration of the historical background, development, and impact of modern architecture. It will also analyze the works of key figures such as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Walter Gropius, highlighting the core principles of the Modern Movement. A particular focus will be placed on the influence of technological and material advancements following the Industrial Revolution on modern architectural development. Additionally, the lecture will provide a theoretical framework that can be applied to contemporary architectural design. This session aims to help architecture students gain a deeper understanding of modern architectural trends and reinterpret them through a contemporary lens.
이재건축연구소의 이재 대표소장은 ‘Modern Architecture’를 주제로, Modern Movement의 흐름과 건축적 의미에 대해 2016년 배재대학교 봄 특강에서 강연을 진행합니다. 이번 특강은 배재대학교 국제교류관 401호에서 2시간 동안 진행되었으며, 근대 건축이 형성된 배경과 발전 과정, 그리고 현대 건축에 미친 영향을 심층적으로 다룹니다. 또한, 르 코르뷔지에, 미스 반 데어 로에, 루이스 칸 등 주요 건축가들의 작품을 분석하며 Modern Movement의 핵심 원리를 탐구할 예정입니다.
